Employee Spotlight is our blog series that features the fantastic individuals behind RoadSync.
Get to know a face that works to help our customers use our product. Meet Jonathan Wright, our Customer Success Manager! We’re excited that we got to sit down with him to share his story in this month’s Employee Spotlight. You’ll learn about his role at RoadSync, his career, interests, and more! Fun fact: if he were to snap his fingers and become an expert in something, he would love to speak four languages fluently. With a snap of the fingers, he could speak Spanish, French, Italian, and Japanese.
I learned about RoadSync through a former employee, and I joined the company as they expanded the sales team. Specifically, they were looking for someone to care for our existing customers and make sure they are adequately trained and happy with our product. This role fit the direction that I wanted to take in my career. The position wasn’t explicitly laid out at the time, but that was the exciting part. It is fun to dive into a role that has yet to be defined and have the opportunity to build it as I go.
My role can be separated into three areas. The first area deals with the onboarding of new customers. Daily, I have the opportunity to educate customers on our product features and functionality and show them how to get started implementing our product into their daily tasks. The second area focuses on managing current customers’ requests for product customizations and answering technical questions. Lastly, I focus on long-term account management. I get to assist our customers as their business grows and how we can grow alongside them.
I really enjoy listening to music, and my favorite band is Muse. Also, I love playing music as I am a violin player as well. I also love traveling, and Japan has been one of my favorite places to visit. Everything from the culture, the food, the energy, and the people were great, and they were so welcoming.
No misconceptions. Luckily everyone is aligned here, and people understand what we can bring to the table. Sure there are times when people come to us with questions that I may not be able to answer, but there isn’t any sort of regularity where it becomes a misconception about my role.
Honestly, I’m still surprised about the beautiful office space we get to work in. Our office is spacious and very accommodating to all of our needs. Each day I walk in, I think, “Man, I’m really lucky to work here!” The only thing I have on my office wish list would be an office pet.
